About the RPG
Uss Constant's rpg is a new, small scale role playing game based around uss constant and TNG universe, it uses a message board system where you add your entry as regularly as you want. it works by members of the crew, posting mini stories (7-30 words) as often as their post tells them. you base this around the current mission, your characters social life or position related. other characters see and respond to your contribution, and as you become more familiar with how uss constant's rpg works, you can include people in your entry (providing you email them for permission) on average, you are asked to post once a month, you are also asked to write a log that will be published under <yourcharatersname>.htm
How it works;
you start off by creating a character. you choose their personality/species/sex etc. then you choose a position that is listed available in the crew list. you can check your individual responsibilities by either checking under the command structure section on uss constant tab, or by emailing the captain using the crew list under uss constant tab. when you choose a position and name etc.. you email all this to the captain. in a day or two the XO (executive officer) will email you three important pieces of information, if you have been accepted (this will almost defiantly be yes unless the XO thinks you are a crew member who was once dishonorably discharged) your password and the URL for uss constant's rpg gaming board. there are always 2 states IC and OC, when you are In Character, you can not talk about real life. if you are chatting Out of Character you can talk about what you are thinking of doing next, but if you tell someone Out of Character that you are, for example, planning to plan a bomb, the person you told cannot do anything about it when IC.
Promotions are the normal way of showing that a member of the crew has achieved something outstanding, or if another crewmember died you may 'inherit' the post, either way, promotion is good. one thing better than good, is getting one of uss constant's 5 awards, there is one for courage, one for outstanding consideration for others, one for beyond the call of duty, one for a courageous away mission and one for outstanding effort.
Logs must be kept at least once a month, email them in text or html format to the XO, be sure to include your password as the subject
